Honduras will play on the World Cup without Carlo Costly

Carlo Costly

Carlo Costly, the Honduran striker, broke the bone in his right foot and will not play at the 2010 World Cup.News is published by the Honduran team doctor, Oscar Benitez, explaining that the best player of Honduran team and scorer of six goals during World Cup qualifying will not recover until World Cup. Coach Reinaldo Rueda so will publish a World Cup players list without him.It is interesting that Carl's father Anthony Costly played for Honduras at World Cup in Spain in 1982, the only World Cup where Honduran team played. Honduran team then was in the group with Spain, Yugoslavia and Northern Ireland. In South Africa Honduran national team will play in Group H, again with the Spaniards, Chileans and the Swiss.
