The 2010 FIFA World Cup will be in Durban, South Africa in June. Already the city is buzzing with excitement as people prepare for the biggest event in football. Venues are being built or renovated, hotels are booking rooms and filling to capacity, and fans everywhere are looking forward to some of the best matches football has to offer.
Hotel rooms and accommodations are reaching sky-high prices with most rooms now in the 900 Euro range and climbing. Unless you're willing to stay in some of the seedier parts of town, it's not likely you'll find an affordable stay in Durban during the World Cup.
Unless you decide to think outside the box and realize that the only thing that could make the greatest football in the world more exciting is camping with your friends at a place that, when you ad up the bonuses, is better than most hotels anyway.

The campsites and facilities are located on two school campuses in the suburbs of Durban, but near enough to downtown to be only minutes from the stadium (with regular shuttle services available). These schools have plenty of campsite space, full facilities including swimming pools and an Ops Center, and more.
Most of our guests this year are finding that they can reserve their stay for the entire series of World Cup games at only a few days' cost compared to many hotels in the area.
A couple of minutes from pubs and restaurants, ten minutes from the beach, shuttles every hour to the stadium and Fan Parks, three meals served daily, full facilities, and a big screen TV in a large hall so you can enjoy the games even if you didn't get into the stadium.
